What is Pet Pick?
Pet Pick is a mobile application that allows you to search for adoptable pets.
How do I find a pet? How do I search for a pet?
When you launch the app, we use your current location to show pets near you. You can also use the filter search by tapping on the magnifying glass icon in the upper right-hand corner of the Pets tab. Once the filter search opens, you select a ZIP code and have the option to search for pets by shelter or location. If you choose to search by location, you can filter your search by distance, animal species, breed, gender, age, and size. You can also search for urgent dogs and cats (those scheduled to be euthanized) by turning on the "Urgent" option.
How do I save a pet I like?
You can "Pick" a pet by tapping on the heart icon. Your saved pets ("Picks") can be accessed from the Picks tab. To remove a pet pick from the your list of picks, simply tap the heart icon to deselect it.
How do I save my searches?
You have the option to save your searches by selecting the "Save" button after you've entered your Filter search criteria. Your saved searches can be accessed and managed from the Searches tab.
How do I use the map? What is the map for?
You can use the map to view your Pet Picks and urgent pets. The default search distance for urgent pets is 50 miles from your location. You can adjust this distance in Preferences located in the More tab.
